These wrist guards were great in the 90F/32C and hot July skating in my city. They are light and comfortable. Air flows well through them. I recommend that you measure both hands before choosing your size. My right hand is wider than my left. I bought a medium size but now I think a large would be enough for me. My Velcro is fully attached to the right arm. I drew an advertisement for an unnamed company all over my gear with black permanent marker. It turned out to be fine. I didn't fall at high speed, so I can't comment on the effectiveness of these guards in fast-moving conditions. However, I think they are worth the premium price.
