This yarn is roughly a thick sport yarn or can be thinner (class 3). This is a good weight for making clothing or lighter weight blankets and throws. I like color transitions, which are more like gradients than stripes. I saw a few knots but not as bad as some of the other inexpensive threads I've tried. The cakes weigh 150 grams (approximately 5.3 ounces, 590 yards). The stitch structure is very good, the yarn is soft and breathable. When I first tried it I thought it was a blend of cotton and acrylic, but it isn't. It's 100% acrylic, so it's easy to care for, yet feels soft and comfortable. I highly recommend it for knitting or crocheting and will be buying more soon!
