My sons received a smart TV for their playroom from their grandparents, which is at the other end of the house from our WiFi router. An extension cord was not enough to ensure a reliable connection. My research showed that the powerline kit would be more efficient, so I ordered one. It was exceptionally easy to install. I plugged in a box next to the router and connected it with an ethernet cable. In the playroom I plugged in another box and connected it to the TV. Instantly, with no configuration required, the TV connects to the Internet at unprecedented speed. With the pass-through function, you can connect other devices to the box, e.g. B. a socket. The only caveat I would add is that the included ethernet cables are very short. So you should buy long enough to reach the router and device from the outlets you intend to use.
