My speed skyrocketed!

My speed has skyrocketed. I switched to this AV2000 from Powerline AV500 adapters. I have a multi-storey house. The router is at the north end of a level. My TV (to which I connected it) is on another level of the house and in the south part of the house. Wifi was very patchy for different levels and distances. Both adapters are on different circuit breakers. I have Xfinity for ISP. I got about 24Mbps with the AV500. I'm now pulling 95.03 Mbps with 15ms ping with these AV2000s. I'm glad to have

This set made me a hero to my kids.

My sons received a smart TV for their playroom from their grandparents, which is at the other end of the house from our WiFi router. An extension cord was not enough to ensure a reliable connection. My research showed that the powerline kit would be more efficient, so I ordered one. It was exceptionally easy to install. I plugged in a box next to the router and connected it with an ethernet cable. In the playroom I plugged in another box and connected it to the TV. Instantly, with no…

Works well, blocks upper exit

Zyxel AV2000 Powerline Kit does what it should. This provides connectivity over the power lines in your home. The signal will drop quite a bit if you use them from one circuit (room 1) to another circuit (room 2). Using my downstairs router, I'm getting about 200Mbps in the upstairs room on a different circuit than the transmitter's powerline adapter. More than enough for what I need, but not the 1 Gb/s connection I was hoping for. One limitation I've found is that there isn't enough room for…

Lightning fast ethernet connection over my power lines.

I wasn't sure how well this product would work when I ordered it. The reviews were for and against. After the two powerline adapters started talking to each other, I was amazed and pleased with the results. They send and receive at 450 Mbit/s. That's faster than my 100Mbps ISP can deliver data. I was having trouble streaming live TV from Hulu, but this product fixed all of the WiFi issues I was having with my router. Adapters are on different circuit breakers and this doesn't seem to be a…

Powerline=Powerful - Computers & Accessories

I've been reading about Ethernet in your home's electrical system for years, but it sounded too good to be true, so I avoided it. a new home for us, i decided to buy this product to install in the master bedroom to connect a Smart TV (TCL) and AppleTV to the 2 ethernet ports of the unit. (Also, I wanted to be able to connect the ethernet cable from the AppleTV to the laptop we use in this room in case the wireless connection doesn't work for some reason.) Flawless! The driver could not be…

Quick and easy pair but limited to four.

I have an upstairs media room in the back of a 4,000 square ft. The room is well isolated from sound and the combination of distance and isolation results in literally zero Wi-Fi signal in the room. I use a Plex Media server to send movies to players around the house at 30Mbps or more, and I wouldn't want to burn all the Wi-Fi bandwidth with that load even if I could. I connected one of these Zyxel AV2000s to my router and the other to a TV in my media room to create a long range physical…

So far so good after a week.

.I just ordered a second pair. I have a converted garage into an office/breakout room and there was a modem/router, too long story cut out, the modem had to come in the house. It's about 75 feet if I want to run the ethernet cable outside and the wifi can't get through the structure inside because of the soundproofing. The cable that I would have to bury and about 10 feet of concrete make this installation uninteresting and easy. I only heard about powerline technology about two weeks ago and…

Pros: It's Powerline Ethernet and offers a wired network connection, but that's about it. Cons: Bandwidth is only about 220Mbps, even to my LAN. ft in the best scenario I've tested, both on an idle line and in a relatively new house built a few years ago) I've even tried connecting this to redundant 10Gb/s cables, just in case the supplied cables were junk. still 220 Mbit/s. .I've used much cheaper powerline ethernet kits that work better than this one. My internet download speeds also dropped…
