Review on 🔧 Edelbrock 1405 1406 1407 1408 1409 1410 1411 Carburetor Rebuild Kit (Excluding Float) by Eddie Duncan

I took a chance buying this kit despite many reviews saying the pump, needle and seats were wrong. The previous reviews were correct. Will not work on a 500cfm Edelbrock Performer that is about twenty years old, so Edelbrock may have changed specs. The saddles have metric threads that do not screw into this block. The accelerator pump shaft is also not suitable for an early carburetor. It looks like the manufacturer missed a step in production. The hole in the pump shaft is tiny and the link doesn't fit. The spring of the pump piston is much longer than the original. The top bowl padding wasn't the same as the original, but it might work. Other pads were close but not exact. I haven't decided to try and use what I can or order another kit and start over.
