This discount 1440p monitor isn't as good as the Dell 1440p monitor I already had, but I needed it for work. The silver frame around the display is a bit annoying. The fact that you had to put all the associated technology on the front of the monitor probably has something to do with advertising, but they take up a third of the monitor's width. I think you can take it off, but they didn't make it that easy. The cable that came with the monitor was junk. If you put a glass of water on the table next to the monitor, the connection will be temporarily interrupted. I replaced the cable with a working one and the problems have gone, but if you don't have a cable expect the price of an HDMI cable to add to the cost of your monitor. Otherwise, it's light in a fairly dark room. enough to do its job and function properly. It's more of a discount for 1440p monitors, but that's okay. I suggest having your own cable for the reasons listed, but other than that I think it's good enough for most purposes. I haven't used it for gaming or changed any settings outside of the box.
