Review on ๐Ÿ“บ Enhance Your Entertainment Experience with the DirecTV RC65 4-Device Universal IR Remote by Denise Hansen

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Wow. Excellent price. Fast shipping

I have a Direct TV DVR receiver and the Guide button on my original remote is broken. I saw this remote at Revain and was very skeptical about ordering it as it was only $0.92, but decided to take a chance. I ordered two of these remotes for a total of $9.79 with shipping! I ordered this product on December 2nd and arrived on December 8th with the US Postal Service. The remote control is identical to my original remote control. I put in two AA batteries, pressed the PWR button and my DTV DVR turned off and on again. I moved the function switch to the TV and pressed the channel select button and the DTV receiver displayed a message asking me to program the TV functions onto the remote control. First, use the channel button to scroll down to find your TV brand and press the select button. I have a Visio XVT TV that showed 5 possible codes on the screen and of course that was the last code on the list. To program the remote simply press and hold the Mute and Select buttons for about two seconds until the green LED at the top lights up. the TV label will blink twice, then enter the 5-digit code. Try the volume button, if the code is correct the volume will change and you're done. I also found that I could program the TV's enter key to scroll through the various input options available on the Visio TV. Since the original remote was never programmed to do this, I didn't know it could. This is great as I no longer have to get up and manually select the TV input on the TV control panel when I want to switch between broadcast TV or other inputs. To do this, once you have programmed the correct TV code, hold down the Mute and Select buttons for two seconds and once the LED flashes twice, enter the code "960". That's all. The TV input button should now allow you to scroll through your TV's different input options. TV, AV1, AV2, HDMI1, HDMI2, etc.) version. Some AV equipment may require an RF version for programming and/or full operation. I don't have this problem and the IR works just like my original DTV remote. I highly recommend this product as a replacement or additional DTV IR remote control. Even with the $7.95 shipping/handling cost, the price certainly beats the price at your local store, where they're typically around $25 each. Again, I got two delivered to my door for a total of $9.79! You can't beat the price!
