Review on Alessi AAM33/1 Moka Stove Top Espresso Coffee Maker in Aluminum Casting Handle & Knob in Black Thermoplastic Resin by Nestor Orbita

I recently bought a Bialetti 3 cup moka pot and the quality is nowhere near as good as Alessi's. The body of the pot is very smooth in your hands, unlike the sharp corners of the Bialetti. The metal is much thicker and feels more durable than the cheaper versions. In addition, there is a small piece of metal on the underside of the lid that catches any condensation that may drip off the lid so that it does not run down the back of the pot. I've had my Alessi for 7 years now with daily use (I mean every day) and the rubber O-ring is still in perfect condition. The new Bialetti I have has a much worse o-ring that wears out over time. All in all this is a nice coffee pot that is worth paying a little more for as it will last a very long time. !
