I have made coffee with this kettle about 5 times and each time metal particles float in the finished coffee. (See photo. White spots on thumb. I think it's aluminum particles.) I was so excited to have this pot, but it's just a waste of money.

I recently bought a Bialetti 3 cup moka pot and the quality is nowhere near as good as Alessi's. The body of the pot is very smooth in your hands, unlike the sharp corners of the Bialetti. The metal is much thicker and feels more durable than the cheaper versions. In addition, there is a small piece of metal on the underside of the lid that catches any condensation that may drip off the lid so that it does not run down the back of the pot.
