Review on Sigma Contemporary Cameras Advanced Travel by Lorena Grant

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Pretty disappointed

I spent several weeks researching and comparing this lens to others. I finally settled on it as it was better suited for landscape photography (in my price range) and made my way to Glacier National Park. I figured the purple piping everyone was talking about was easy to fix and would do. The image quality of this lens is good. Nothing special, but not terrible either. It's really noisy for the lens when trying to autofocus and it's trying to focus A LOT. It doesn't seem to stop. My camera is a crop sensor camera, so instead of a 50mm camera it looks like a 75mm camera. It was too close for me to use multiple times, although it was my fault for knowing about this information beforehand. In general, I cannot recommend this lens. I almost never use it which is very disappointing because it was expensive for me. I end up keeping my Sigma 30mm lens on camera 90% of the time.
