Review on πŸ”© High-Quality Plastic Drywall Anchors for Drilling by Christopher Sullivan

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Frustrating to use

These anchors are frustrating to use. It's cheap quality on the drive (the part of the plastic anchor piece on the head that looks like an "X" where the screwdriver touches to screw it in). It always breaks in the drive before the plastic anchor is fully inserted into the drywall. You can't unscrew it if you want to pull it out. The metal screw goes in and you can use it to screw the plastic anchor in further, but then you run the risk of the metal screw going too deep into the anchor. I need to hold the plastic so I can twist the metal screw and pull part of it out. Too much work for something that should be easy! I have used other brands that were of better quality. They had no problems with the drive. The washer stayed intact all the way into the drywall even if you put the metal screw in and then pulled the metal screw out. The drive on a plastic anchor would remain intact and could be removed if desired. Try a different brand. I recommend EZ Ancor (the name is misspelled on purpose, it's their brand). This brand was of the finest quality and held up to 75 pounds.
