Review on LAMXD 10Oz Winder Umbrella Swift by Kelly Caballes

Great winder! Swift needs some work.

LAMXD 10oz Swift Yarn Winder and Umbrella ¡… I've been eyeing yarn winders for a while and really liked this one for its solid construction, not smaller size, weaker. look for winders. I wasn't disappointed! This device is heavy, not exactly portable and looks very well made. The instructions for assembling and using the winder were clear and I had the yarn wound up in no time! The table clamp is very strong and fits every table I've tried it on. I've started putting together my latest batch of kitchen cotton, worsted acrylic, thick acrylic wool blends and 100% wool sock yarn! I had to tape the end of the sock yarn to hold it in place or it would slip out of the notch on the winder. , and there's a big pie or two if you're working on a bigger project. It runs quite quietly and rotates fairly evenly. This winder is great for inspecting a skein of yarn before work to see if there are any problem areas such as: B. a bad connection or connections that don't match the color swatch before you start work and come across an area that could affect the look of the finished project. Swift yarn didn't come with an instruction manual, and since I've never used it I had to look it up. It was easy to use after that, but as another reviewer noted, it has one glaring design flaw: the wires holding the Swift together just twist, leaving a gap that snags on my yarn a few times I use the Swift use, and no case . As another reviewer said, the Swift has nothing but a nut to hold the bar in place, and the nut has come loose a couple of times. The clamp is also a bit small; where the winder fitted snugly on the table, the quick release, fully open, would not climb onto the table without persuasion. It works as it should but could use some improvement. Overall I am happy with this set and love using the curler!
