I bought a rear bumper protector and was surprised to see that it was packed in a box when I received it. Although I haven't personally seen the OEM product, after watching an online installation video, it turned out to be hard plastic and not rubber like this product. Anyway I liked the look and the rubber seemed to work well so I installed it. I just wanted to warn those who expect OEM plastic like "steps" on a truck's hood or the back of the cargo area.
