Review on UCTRONICS 802 3Af Splitter Ethernet Raspberry by Angela Jackson

This is a good 802.3af adapter if you want to run your Raspberry Pi without a USB adapter and just want to power it via POE. Note that you need a "real" 802.3af POE switch or injector, not a "passive" POE injector (sometimes used by cheap cameras and some models of Unifi devices). I'm using it with a Linksys/Cisco managed POE switch and it worked right away without any tweaking. The only downside is that the USB connector protrudes slightly from the RPi; It is recommended to purchase a right angle MicroUSB adapter when mounting the whole assembly on a wall to reduce the load and minimize the size of the whole package.
