I wouldn't say it costs over $36... It was a lot smaller than I expected but was the perfect size for my 8 week old Child. old kitten when we went camping. We even took her to the beach, wore her while she was still inside! It was easy to travel with her. My large dog accidentally leaned against it and so its roundness is no longer round. But other than that, it's great for a kitten and when it's fully grown you can give it to someone who needs it for a kitten for an equally short time! For $36 you can get a much larger one to use as they get bigger.
