The described concept of the device caught my eye. The product is reliable and easy to set up for an experienced technician. However, there are two serious disadvantages that make the device almost useless: 1. As the scanning is achieved by rolling the device across the page; It is almost impossible to achieve a straight page-down trajectory when scanning an open book.2. When scanning an open book, it is not possible to get a full scan across the entire width of the page because the edge of the device touches the front and prevents it from filling the entire page.
