📚 WiFi IRIScan Book 5 Review

Product I Ideas are very good Instructions are the worst I've ever received. Cannot reach the company by phone. I'm still having a setup issue.

Overall I like this product. I can scan parts of a large page and then use Photoshop Elements to stitch the parts together into a panorama of the original. However, you need a steady hand and an extremely flat surface to use it. It works best on completely flat surfaces, but when scanning from a book, the text tends to become wavy unless the book is completely flat.

I had to buy a new device. The first had no activation code to download the software. So I changed it to something else. Today the 2nd came and it is used. The back of the manual is labeled and the USB stick was missing. (It's advertised as included) Needless to say it's coming back and I'll be buying it from someone else.

I bought a Book 5 WIFI scanner but it didn't connect to the software. I emailed support and received a page with instructions that did not resolve the issue. I've called company offices and all the lines I tried resulted in voicemail saying they would call me back, but all mailboxes were full and no messages were received. This product does not work as advertised and there is no support. Do not buy this or any other IRIS scanner. I sent the scanner back and still haven't heard from the company.

The described concept of the device caught my eye. The product is reliable and easy to set up for an experienced technician. However, there are two serious disadvantages that make the device almost useless: 1. As the scanning is achieved by rolling the device across the page; It is almost impossible to achieve a straight page-down trajectory when scanning an open book.2.
