got a job suitable for all-purpose cleaners
I was able to easily remove about 15 stickers from the body of an old Subaru. Not a single scratch in the paint, not a single residue of glue of different types and ages. The metal blade tool has proven to be the most effective for all stickers, but plastic ones work well too. Would recommend to anyone who needs to remove stickers from any hard surface.
