Review on 3/4 HP Heavy-Duty Shop Fox W1671 Mortising Machine by Tingate Skrbec

Ordered product with a preconceived notion based on reviews this was going to be a good product at a respectable price. The instruction book was full of information but lacked clarity and detail on assembly creating some confusion during assembly. The table supplied with the product was a low grade particle board that was broke in half on arrival. After finial assembly it is my opinion that the design philosophy was well intended but did not translate during fabrication. The parts were poorly milled and left the machine with a less then desirable fit and finish. In other words the parts were a rather poor fit. The motor runs smooth with enough power to produce a mortis with out laboring. This is not a poor product it does what I need it to do. My personal recommendation would be to look at other products in this price range. I think at $400.00 dollars you can do better.
