I bought this motherboard in March for a rebuild. Within the first month, the motherboard suffered a major failure. At boot it outputs a PROCHOT signal (essentially a way to prevent the CPU from overheating, but my CPU runs cool at 30C at boot and doesn't peak at 60C under heavy load), a CPU signal to throttle the clock speed of my 5600x . This would increase the speed from 4.2GHz to 500MHz. That's right, 500MHz, the same speed as a 1999 Pentium 3 processor. I was able to use Ryzen Master to disable this PROCHOT. But it gets tedious as I have to do this every time I start my computer. After contacting Asus support they outlined all the troubleshooting steps I needed to take to fix this issue. I tried many different steps to solve this problem but the main cause has to do with the motherboard itself. Something I can't fix. I decided to email the CEO's office with my concerns. They indicated that they could send me a used board to replace this board. But I either have to send mine in first or I have to hold the MSRP of the *NEW* board at my bank until I send the old one back. In both cases there is a problem. 1. I bought a NEW board, I don't accept used board.2. If I wanted a new board I would have to find a suitable processor to update the BIOS as the board's serial blocks do not support my processor without a BIOS update. Asus has the option to update the BIOS before sending me a new device, but they decided they didn't want to do that. I can't get my hands on an older AMD processor even if I wanted to due to the current global shortage. All this mess during my current job, working from home and needing my computer for my work. Now I understand that this review may seem "picky". After speaking to Asus Support, this will be the first and last time I will buy an Asus product. PS If you ever write a letter to the CEO's office, do not write to Tony Hahn or Jennifer Stover, their addresses are on the list. Chain of replies, but if you email them you'll get a "buck dollar" case. They will not reply to your emails. I think they are too good for the buyer.
