Works for me! the best measuring and marking tools

There are many negative reviews about it and I don't doubt their sincerity. You will also see a lot of positive feedback. I see both sides, it really depends on your expectations. Didn't know what to expect from just over $2 - think about it folks - just over $2! There are five times more other products. I think it's excellent value for money. You can sense from the material and design that if it's "stretched" too far in a certain direction, it's likely to break, which I think some of the reviewers probably did. I was very careful not to stretch the clamp too much. It's just a plastic extension that can easily break if bent too much. When it's on the belt, it stays on very well. The tape is easy to put on and take off, that's the whole point. I've seen comments in reviews about pencil holders, probably most of them have a lot of truth. For example, the rubber-to-plastic flange that holds the pencil definitely has a memory. So if you regularly switch from a small pencil to a large pencil (and back again), the small pencil will eventually fail. Contrary to what some write, you CAN insert a carpenter's pencil, but of course it fits nicely and I wouldn't recommend it unless using a short stub of pencil. The reason for this is that you can easily poke as far as you want with a standard pen, so a longer pen works well. For a carpenter's pencil, it's so narrow you'll only want to move it an inch or so and still have a long pencil sticking out. Overall I would say it's a great job. Appreciate its worth and acknowledge its weaknesses. If you're really looking for a model to pass down to your kids, get ready to spend $10, $20, or even $40! For two euros I am very satisfied.
