I gave 5 stars to the first pair I bought. Unfortunately, they only lasted about 4 years, when the prism in the eyepiece came loose and could no longer be focused. This is common with binoculars, but is usually the result of a fall or impact and is therefore not covered under warranty. I have taken good care of them, this may mean they are not as strong as the larger pairs. Apparently I liked them so much that I tried them a second time. As butterfly binoculars they are excellent. With their help, you can easily count the colorful scales on a butterfly's wing. They are lightweight and compact, making them easy to carry. However, they are not good binoculars for bird watching or in the forest, although with such a small lens (8.5 x 21 = magnification x lens that corresponds to the size of the lens aperture) you need very good lighting conditions, otherwise the object will be too dark. get all the details. I would still recommend them for catching butterflies, wildflowers or as a backup.
