Review on Environmentally-Friendly EQUO Grass Straws: 100 Biodegradable, Compostable, and Plastic-Free Eco Straws for Various Uses by Greg Stevenson

Prone to cracking but still worth it

I've tried Equo Coconut, Rice, Sugarcane and Grass Straws. They all have their place and they all have certain differences. This and cane have thinner walls, like a "regular" plastic straw. Sugar cane is almost indistinguishable from plastic cane - in fact, it shares the same texture, flexibility, relative tastelessness, and even the feel of it when chewed. These herbal straws have a pleasant, slightly herbal flavor that goes well with milk and most teas. It's great to have a natural straw like this. Unlike coconut, rice, and sugar cane, which are made from crushed, processed natural materials, these are literally chunks of hollow stalks. The kids love it (and so do I). This leads to one of the two disadvantages of these straws - they tend to tear, making sucking difficult or impossible. Most don't have this problem, but some have it in every package. The only other downside is that they're so light they can't sink to the bottom of the jar and fall out. But that's JustMe. (I received this product in exchange for an honest review and I'm offering that here.)
