Get the same seat from Yamaha for about $80 more. There were instructions but they weren't very helpful and the pictures were blurry. There are good assembly videos on YouTube, so there won't be any problems. The nuts that attach the bracket to the seat were the wrong size and required an extra trip to the hardware store. The seat structure is similar to the same material as the OEM front seat. The pegs look very solid and installation is intuitive.
