Review on 🚰 Friho Lead-Free Stainless Steel Single Handle Pull Out Sprayer Spring Bar Sink Kitchen Faucet - Commercial Brushed Nickel Finish by Gary Hall

Revainrating 3 out of 5

It’s sad the water doesn’t shut off properly because it’s great otherwise.

I really wish I could give my faucet 5 stars! My Lead-Free Commercial Brushed Nickel finished Stainless Steel, Single Lever Faucet with Pull Down Sprayer by FRIHOASIN B072K46VLLREF# KTQYFR059LUnfortunately the faucet does not shut water off in a timely manner. It seems to be a flaw in design of the shut-off mechanism but the large volume of water waste caused by it is unacceptable! (Especially here in Southern California!) It takes some time for the water stream to stop after closing the valve, it then continues to drip for several minutes. I have doubts it ever truly shuts off because if you take a dry paper towel and place it on the sprayer head it quickly becomes saturated even hours after shutting off the faucet. As I said, I do wish I could give 5 stars. other than the shut off, the faucet does function nicely. The pull down of the sprayer is smooth with a nice "snap back” from a well calculated counter weight. It has a good hose length (I did put my counter weight about 1.25” below suggested placement to accommodate full reach across my large sink) and an easy to hold sprayer head. Note* you do have to place the sprayer back in spray arm bushing after each use but I quickly got used to it and don’t mind it at all. It has good water pressure (although slightly less at full hot but still more than sufficient.) It has nice stream & spray patterns and a satisfying button to switch between the two. I love the scale of the fixture; you get the professional look and feel but at a scale that is appropriate for your average kitchen sink size and installation under cabinetry. Many faucets of this style are ridiculously tall, look out of place and may not fit under standard cabinetry. I do love the feel of the faucet as well; all metal construction, absolutely no metallized plastic here! (which was very pleasent surprise considering how inexpensive it was) The finish is beautiful; it has a very deep clear coat protecting the brushed nickel finish, it is easy to clean, minimal fingerprints and water spots. Also note it does not include a deck plate/hole cover (10” is recommended to cover a 3 hole 8” spread) so trying to match that beautiful finish has been a challenge. Despite not including a deck plate the finish is consistent on all visible parts including the metal pull out hose. Actually the metal pull out hose was the primary feature I was looking for after our last pull down sprayer burst & a geyser of hot water scalded my son’s face. Thank god he is fine now but it could have been much worse! (Please take a moment right now to check your hot water heater thermostat and adjust it to 120° F (48.9° C) please note children’s bath temp should be no hotter than 100° F (38° C) according to the experts at the Mayo Clinic.I apologize for being so long-winded! I have clearly put extensive thought into the pros and cons of this faucet debating on whether or not I should replace it. I’m sad to say I am going to have to buy a different faucet because the water waste of this one has been far to heavy a weight on my conscience.
