My dog loves to run and play outside but we don't have a fence yet. We have had this zip line for about 9 months now and it is holding up very well. If you have the right tools and a little mechanical know-how, it's pretty easy to install. We used a drill, pliers, etc. and there were no particular problems. The zip line is also quite durable; I find he handles a large dog with ease even though you know your dog better than I do. If you have questions about whether this will work for your dog, I encourage you to consider alternatives - the one we ordered is rated for a 125 pound dog, although our 50 pound dog can pull much harder than you think. Be careful if you think your dog might be too dangerous for this zip line. I would like to advise everyone that this type of zipline should be used under human supervision. Pets should generally NOT be left unattended on it. It can withstand a fairly heavy dog, but it is irresponsible for the pet owner to use it to babysit a dog as the animals may become entangled or otherwise injured. Safety first.
