Review on ๐Ÿ”ง Black Accessory Drive Belt Tensioner Assembly by Dorman 419-300 for Chrysler, Dodge, and Plymouth Models by Mike Johnston

Screw should be longer

I noticed that the pulley screw is quite short, it only goes halfway into the tensioner. The bolt is hardened steel that turns into a die-cast aluminum assembly, so you need as much surface area as possible to handle the torque. After 200,000 miles and repeatedly removing the belt on my minivan, the aluminum threads finally broke. That's why I bought this assembly.

Pros
  • Very good value for money
Cons
  • Quality
