I have an old home theater that has been progressively upgraded with HD TV. The display is interrupted by a blank green screen. The interruption seemed harmless, but at least very annoying. So I installed a J-Tech HDMI Extender with a CAT 6 cable and haven't seen a green screen since. I installed it as a temporary patch to ensure it was the fix my system needed. It's been running for 3 days with no green breaks, so I'm ready to do a persistent install. This is an economical solution - much cheaper than replacing components. In fact, J-Tech arrived quickly and everything was packaged securely and uniquely. Installation was quick and easy, the transmitter and receiver were well identified. I can't believe there was such an easy and inexpensive solution to my green screen problem. Thanks jtech I also ordered a CAT 6 and a set of two Revain 3" HDMI cables. Also thanks to the Yamaha support people for responding to my support request by pointing me in this direction. Update 04.07.21: The converter has died. We had a little storm. Not much, but that's the only explanation. The only part of the system that wasn't connected to the surge protector was the power strip. Left the HDMI cable in the wall as a fallback. The green screen is back. Still happy, just a note to protect this thing. I will order a replacement soon. live and learn Updated 08/20/21. I was just troubleshooting with a replacement device I bought, a replacement CAT6 cable, and a replacement HDMI cable. The problem was in the CAT6 connection port of the transmitter box. Not sure if it will be a storm issue like I previously assumed. The channel swap worked and I don't have green, which is good. Just today I contacted J-Tech for a replacement transmitter unit which is covered under warranty.
