A simple but effective solution

I have an old home theater that has been progressively upgraded with HD TV. The display is interrupted by a blank green screen. The interruption seemed harmless, but at least very annoying. So I installed a J-Tech HDMI Extender with a CAT 6 cable and haven't seen a green screen since. I installed it as a temporary patch to ensure it was the fix my system needed. Excellent audio and video quality, but watch out for ALL multicast data

Audio and video quality is excellent. This unit did not suffer from the audio format limitation issue that was present with the previous HDMI extender I had previously tested. The fact that this model uses MJPEG 2000 video compression means it has low latency, which is a good thing. However, this low latency comes at the cost of MUCH higher network bandwidth usage. Update: died three times. Works from Windows PC to A/V Receiver with full 7.1 sound!

UPDATE: I've already died three of them, I suspect overheating because it gets very hot but I don't know exactly why. The company kindly replaced it twice and it died the third time, so I'm very disappointed that I downgraded that five star rating and searched again (for a basic power strip that just works) for the FOURTH time.
