The speed controller melted
It worked for me once, then the speed controller broke. Now you need to buy a new controller. All in all I spent about 2000 just to buy a cheap throttle switch and the wrong type of motor (it's a 3 phase motor which is a problem for exactly that reason). Attached is a photo of the conversion.
