I like this device, but I must say that this router may not be an easy setup for a layman. Follow the instructions and remember that Google is your friend. I never trust anyone else's WiFi; So when I visited a certain hotel, I made sure I had this router with me. For me, the initial setup was easy. Once you've bypassed the hotel's private portal (welcome screen) to connect to the WiFi, you're done. The great thing is that once you connect and create your personal network, all other devices can connect without having to go through the portal's authorization process. I take it a step further to enable the VPN feature so I know my data will remain private. I've tested it and so far it's been stable with no slowdown. My advice to anyone who has plugged in this router but later has trouble reconnecting to a public or authorized Wi-Fi portal; Make sure the VPN is disabled and try again. So far the router has worked great for me and I'm glad I made an investment in my privacy, security and peace of mind.
