LOVE COLOMBIA, I will happily review future designs for older men who are used to comfortable, quality, functional clothing and don't care. about a fashion statement. We have a reasonable amount of money and would like to return our clothes please. Shorts for middle-aged men, even those willing to spend upwards of $17 at their local department/clothing/grocery store are in a 'crisis situation'. , when you borrow your favorite phrase from the media. I have enjoyed photographing a pair of Columbia Short Cargos for many years. After discovering that today's shorts fashion mimics skinny suits geared towards urban men, I was smitten with the Columbia Men's Brewha Shorts, which I mistakenly thought were the same shorts that are still being produced today, because they look almost identical. . Forty bucks isn't a bargain, but it would be solid VALUE for more shorts like mine, which have grown in popularity over the years. I thought Columbia had succumbed to the skinny craze. The first photo, in a darker color, these are my originals, shows how much fabric and comfort has been removed from the seat. That's where things connect. I'm 5ft 6in, 175lbs and the darker medium pair is very comfortable; not so with the newcomers who return to where they came from. What is the first word in cargo shorts? Charge. Don't leave any hope of bandwidth here. The old pockets are 8 inches deep at their shallowest point on the sides of the shorts, these new ones are only 6.25 inches deep. The photo of the bag with the bottom of the belt aligned shows a completely unsatisfactory shortening of the bag. I don't want my keys or phone in one of those flat pocket devices. And forget that useless thing called a drink bag. I've successfully used a half liter water bottle but not when wearing it and can imagine what it's like. Maybe a juice bag. Columbia even replaced the heavy-duty YKK zipper on the right in the detailed zipper photo with a petite YKK zip that should be on a women's dress, with a suitably petite little zipper that's about a third of its original size. It's fine if you like tight suits and buy fashion "cargo shorts" instead of being able to comfortably carry a lot - and don't care that your phone is sticking out of the top of your pocket. Look elsewhere if you're a man who likes comfortable, functional cargo shorts. I wish I could recommend this place but I was empty. Not to be entirely negative (honesty sounds like it sometimes, doesn't it?), the fabric of the old and new couples appear to have the same weight, but that's after the old couple has been through countless washes over the years.
