I purchased this product on the recommendation of a carpet company where I recently purchased a new natural fiber carpet. Unfortunately, neither the carpet company nor the manufacturer of the capture product have reported that sometimes stomach acid in the vomit can interact with the capture powder to cause the carpet fiber to fade. My dog was vomiting bile and I immediately wiped it up with everything I could and then used the Capture product as directed. Unfortunately, a bleached stain remained on the carpet where the powder touched the fibers. When I wrote to the manufacturer of Capture, they explained that sometimes the pH of the stomach acid can react with the dye and cause discoloration. Had this been stated correctly in Revain's instructions or product description, I would have been much more careful when using the product on carpet. In fact, I probably wouldn't buy it at all since most of the stains I have to clean are related to pet accidents.
