Review on 🏌️ SKLZ Accelerator Pro Indoor Putting Green | Ball Return | 9ft x 16.25in by Mufti Carter

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Improved setting: Golf

My values on the right course were deteriorating so I decided to find a solution. I was looking for a practical guide to use at home. I originally bought a mat with an automatic (motorized) ball return and the motor quickly burned out after a few weeks of use. I found this alternative to SKLZ that uses gravity ball recirculation. Provided you have level ground, the return works adequately, although I use a few balls that accumulate at the end of the holed mat. See photo. Alignment strips on the mat help "cut" the square shot and complete the shot to the hole. The hole provided is a standard size and I found it (too) easy to sink the putts using the guides. To improve accuracy, I adjusted the aperture (following the advice of other reviewers). I made an insert to fit the hole and reduced its diameter to a size slightly larger than a golf ball. Putts need to be much more accurate (line and speed) to hit a "modified" hole. Misses either land in a collection slot behind the hole and gravity land on the return track, or roll up the ramp and then back down and back to the starting point. I also added a "stopper" to the mat behind the hole to prevent too much hitting outside the mat. (It was a mat stop with a broken motorized ball return). I've been using the mat for as long as time allows and I'm finally seeing an improvement in my game. I set a goal of making 100 practice strokes a day, which is relatively easy to achieve with this tool. And now I'm not worried about the motor burning out and the ball getting stuck in the return mechanism. I hit, hit, and hit again. So far I've been able to transfer my routine, setup and "muscle memory" to the course. Three, five, and seven foot punches now drop out more often. If only I had 40 feet of floor space in my living room to practice the longer ones (smiles)!
