This gauge showed 40psi when I opened the box. I never thought that the atmospheric pressure at sea level is so high! I think that explains why I sometimes feel pressure. It was quite obvious that there was no quality control. I figured it might just "get stuck," so I tried mounting it on an air tank, then pressurizing it to 60psi and depressurizing it. No fun. 40 psi was "zero" for these gauges. It rose to 100psi when the actual pressure was 60psi. I tested it with two known good pressure gauges. The sad thing is that this item could not be verified and should never have been offered for sale. Revain did a great job on this issue and I appreciate their help. It's a shame that the lack of quality control cost everyone involved. My time, Revain's time and money, the manufacturer's money and the future of the business. At least I managed to relieve some pressure!
