Garmin USB ANT+ Stick running Android 4.4 on LG Nexus 5

I am using this Garmin USB ANT+ Stick with my LG Nexus 5 phone with great success. To connect it to your phone, you'll need an OTG (for-the-go) USB adapter, which adds some technology overhead to your current setup. I ended up getting a case with a wrist strap and modified it so that the USB OTG cable exits at the bottom and then attaches to the earphone's elastic loop. My setup is as follows: - LG Google Nexus 5 phone (Android 4.4) - ANT+ driver (free download from play store) - Endomondo fitness app - 6" USB OTG cable adapter - Garmin ANT+ USB -Joystick - Garmin ANT+ soft strap heart rate monitor This combo allows me to get accurate HRM integration for my runs. I have never had a problem with communication between HRM and an ANT+ stick. The device itself is tiny, conforming to a "miniature" drive profile. The four contact wires are fully exposed and all around the connector area doesn't fill the screen, so I have some concerns about constantly plugging and unplugging this from the computer. By my standards, it was a one-time plug. The device isn't really designed for outdoor use, so if you're going to use it with a mobile device like mine, you'll need to cover the connection or leave me in the case. I applied waterproof heat shrink tubing to the connector on the ANT+/USB OTG cable, and it works fine in light rain. I want to use a Garmin Foot Pod (for ANT+) to integrate a foot pod into my workout. If so, I'll report the results.
