So far I like this 110VAC to 12VDC converter. I use it for my Ham Radio VHF Transceiver and Allstar Portable Node. Over the past two months of continuous use, there have been no unwanted noise or other performance issues. Haven't used it with my HF transceiver yet but will soon. If it makes a lot of noise in the highs, I'll comment here. I adjusted the potentiometer to 13.8 VDC and it stayed there. Under continuous broadcast conditions, the fan turns on, even if I don't use the maximum consumption of 30A, as soon as I remove the key, the fan turns off. The fan is not very loud in my small room, so no problem. I would call this a winner, but my next experiment is to connect this power supply to a 12V DC battery and use the power supply to charge the battery and power devices directly from the battery. If everything works, there are 5 stars in the rating.
