I feel like people who leave bad reviews don't know how to use it properly or haven't read the instructions on the box. If used as intended, everything is fine. I did a great job cutting a few smaller pieces out of the plexiglass. It appears to be well made and has a good hand weight (that's what she said!). Remember this is NOT A CUTTING TOOL. It will not and should not cut through plastic. Its purpose is to create a very sharp and precise line on the plastic so that it breaks cleanly when you bend the scriber. And you have to do multiple passes to get it deep enough. So just do what the instructions say and you shouldn't have any problems.
