Review on ๐ŸŽถ Jensen Home CD Player System Sport Handle with Bluetooth Boombox Portable Music System - CD/CD-R/RW, FM Radio, Aux-in, Headphone Jack Line-in (CD-565SL Black/Silver) by Nick Andep

Revainrating 5 out of 5

You have to keep in mind that it is very small.

Great purchase! It's definitely NOT what I call a "boombox" (maybe in Land O'Teensy), but considering the size and price, it's still amazing. Clear sound, acceptable volume for a very small player/radio (and speakers running to max without distortion or suffering) and ease of use. The radio function knob works in a weird way - you have to "click"-turn to change channels one by one, but it keeps going if you just turn it. I can live with it. The CD player works great. As others have noted, there is no bass/treble adjustment - very poor, but the preset balance that is present is adequate in my opinion. Plus, all the controls are visible and none of them are stuck in the back where you have to fumble for tiny protrusions. (Sounds a lot weirder than I meant) It's probably not the best choice for anyone as a primary music source anyway, but it definitely ticks the 'drag and drop' requirement. Personally I will use it to play Motown and R&B music on one deck for practice. That would also be a good kitchen radio. In my opinion the only real downside is the need to use an outlet with a transformer (included). It is inconvenient when you want to move the location of the player and there is no space for it. I wish it was a regular fork. (Option - put it in a box and use batteries? No.) Well finally, and I have to say - it looks really really cool.

Pros
  • Nice packaging
Cons
  • Can't remember
