I used them for a week in Hawaii. I am a modest swimmer, my wife is an excellent swimmer. She smoked me in the water without fins every time. In terms of design, they are easier to walk in comparison to traditional fins, but how far do you really have to walk with fins on the beach? There are Velcro (Velco) straps that came off EVERY time I was in the water and they were constantly being fixed. There just wasn't enough traction and I liked the concept but wish I had bought traditional snorkel fins. They pack nicely. They were pretty decent for getting in and out of with little fuss. I just didn't see good value in it because the lack of movement was very frustrating. Although I saw a lot of turtles! Not recommended. I would have tried requesting a refund but my return window is closed. Great concept, needs a lot of improvement for the price.
