After the heater we bought last season broke down after a year of use, I started looking for a new one for this season. Most heaters have some ratings so I'm grateful I knew I had to keep an eye on them and catch them before anything went wrong, but I'm so disappointed. I bought on August 25th, now on October 2nd. So it's been a little over a month since I've been using it, mostly at night when I'm sitting in my living room putting my newborn to bed and thank goodness it's really quiet this time because I've noticed that the heater has stopped. and then start. again and again. After about a minute I get up and turn it off - the switch is hot to the touch. As I reach for the plug, I notice a little smoke and the smell of burnt electronics. I just missed the return line and now I need to buy a new heating element! Good
