My dog became terminally ill after eating a well known brand of dog treats that were found to be recalled from China. She was hospitalized with an IV for 3 days due to an intestinal infection. Once she recovered and recovered, we switched her to a different brand of dog treats. A few months later, although thankfully she didn't get sick, we learned that those treats were also appealing. That's when I decided that I wouldn't buy their treats anywhere else except at a dog bakery in the US. We bought her a tin of treats which were quite expensive and didn't last long. That's when I decided I would start making her own goodies right from the comfort of my own home. I found a few recipes online and thought these molds would work great! I was right! I've made dog ice cream with small paw prints (frosty paws) and made some dog biscuits with bone shapes. These molds are perfect for the oven and freezer. When the frosty paws got cold, I just took them out and put them in the freezer in an airtight container. When the bones cooled out of the oven, they popped out too. Even better, they are so easy to clean. A little soap and warm water and they are washed off without leaving any residue. Laid out to dry and ready to pack away. These molds made preparing treats painless, easy, and quick. I love her!
