because it was recommended for my TV, I used it to install a Samsung UN55B8500 which cost around $3,700 in early 2010. Today, without warning, the television fell on the floor. What failed is the part (cable) that attaches to the back of the TV, not the parts that attach to the wall. I set them so they never come off the wall and they didn't. No, one of the ends of the cable that connects to the TV fell apart. They should be rated at 110 pounds. My TV weighs 60 pounds, just over 50% of its rated capacity. Now the TV weighs only 60 pounds. Garbage. The cable itself is steel, but the ends are just plastic. It turns out they aren't reinforced with built in steel so it's not apparent how they can withstand their rated load. If you have any of these I think it's a matter of when, not if it will happen to you.
