The price is high. I wish aftermarket manufacturers would make this kit so I wouldn't have to spend $50 on it. I love that about iRobots, there are tons of aftermarket kits that are a lot cheaper. At the same time, this kit was perfect and came with a new reel. Tip: When removing the old roller, look for a small plastic adapter located inside the roller that connects it to the vacuum's motor drive. Mine fell out when I pulled out the old roll (it had a crappy clump of hair on it) and I didn't notice. When I tried to insert a new brush, it didn't stick and I spent a few minutes sifting through the trash before I got the adapter stuck in a clump of hair. After that everything worked fine.
