Review on Enhance Your Ride with KYB 349035 Excel-G Gas Shock: Get the Best Performance in Sleek Black Design! by Jake Powell

Revainrating 2 out of 5

Dead for a month best shock absorbers

Out of the two I installed on the back of a 3rd gen Prius, one failed after a month. A failed shock absorber will rattle and pop (i.e. pushing up and down that corner of the car makes those noises) even after checking that it's installed correctly on the bracket etc. Part of the problem may lie in lousy shipping packaging. The plastic strip that holds the shock in place slips off easily, making the stem vulnerable to damage. As already mentioned, a new dust cover is not included. Before the breakdown, the ride was nothing special. I doubt the KYB guarantee would be worth the hassle.
