Perfect fit for Prius 2012

I was having problems with my rear tires and noticed one of the bearing brackets was leaking so I bought these. Easy to install, big difference in drivability and noise! Took me a little over an hour.

Pros
  • Price
Cons
  • Modern

Maybe it's better to take turns, but feel every stone

I wish I had an OEM, I'm more for a smoother ride than performance, will kick the expense and just buy some MONROES or OEM. AFTER A MONTH LATER THE HARD IS WAY AND ALLOWS YOU TO RIDE SMOOTHLY

Pros
  • Brings joy
Cons
  • There are more interesting options.

2008 Scion XB (120,000 miles)

The hardware that came with this damper is not compatible with the XB so I reused the old hardware. The only hardware I've used is a nylon nut. It's also very easy to swap out and the XB now drives much better. No more inclination.

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • Almost OK

Same as New OEM

Installed these on my 2013 Prius Plug-in. I have 120k and decided it's time to love my car a little. I installed KYB struts and shock absorbers, as well as a TRD rear anti-roll bar and H&R sport springs. My car drives much better now and doesn't handle like a boat anymore.

  • Build Quality
Cons
  • Speed

The EZ fit and fit like a glove and improved my ride.

What a difference! On my 2013 Prius, my rear tires were starting to compress, so I replaced the stock tires with KYBs. I should have done that 30,000 km ago. I swear my car is quieter than when I bought it. No more rattling and a much smoother ride. I hope I don't have to switch again but if I do it will be KYB.

  • Inspires confidence

Dead for a month best shock absorbers

Out of the two I installed on the back of a 3rd gen Prius, one failed after a month. A failed shock absorber will rattle and pop (i.e. pushing up and down that corner of the car makes those noises) even after checking that it's installed correctly on the bracket etc. Part of the problem may lie in lousy shipping packaging. The plastic strip that holds the shock in place slips off easily, making the stem vulnerable to damage. As already mentioned, a new dust cover is not included. Before the…

Supplied without dust cover, easy installation

Fits 3rd generation Prius. Does not come with a dust cover. You must use one from the old damper. Mine was in good condition but if yours is worn out the only option the dealer has at this point is to replace the dust cover. Installed quickly. You did it in an hour. On the 3rd generation they installed access panels in the tailgate so you don't have to rip open the back of the car like on the 2nd generation. Generally not rocket science. I am happy with the product but from the picture it looks

Pros
  • Easy installation
Cons
  • Compatibility
