Does what it's supposed to do but the mesh feels a little rough

Pretty basic mesh cleaning sponge. Works well when used with hot water or bug spray. One thing I noticed and why I wouldn't use it for body panels is that the mesh feels a little rough. Not coarse sandpaper but coarser than other mesh cleaning sponges I've used. Not sure if it's just for "cracking" or something, but this will make me want to only use it on glass for now (you don't have to break the sponge, do you? I don't know)
