The gooseneck is a little short for this charger but I managed to get it working. I've also noticed that when driving on the road, the phone turns off and randomly reconnects to the wireless charger when you hit sections of rough roads. Overall the device is really cool, I especially liked the automatic opening and closing when your phone is on the charger. The only downside I have is that you can't plug a phone cord into the charging port when it's on a wireless charger. It doesn't usually matter much, but the car I drive won't let me connect my phone to listen to music via Bluetooth, so I have to connect my phone to the USB port in the car to listen to music. It's impossible, but it's worth the compromise.
