Review on ๐Ÿ’ช Maximize Performance: Timbren FRTT350F Rear Suspension Enhancement System for Ford Super Duty 2WD/4WD by Ray Gist

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Works well but too expensive. IMO

I installed this system on my 2015 Ford Super Duty F350, One Wheel Drive, Diesel, 4x4, Camper Special. Installation was straightforward and the only difficulty was removing the factory fenders due to corrosion on the bolts. I installed the system without the 1" washer and when unloaded there was about 1-1/4" left between the axle bracket and the bottom of the new fender. When I installed the 2000# retractable rail into the camper, the space was reduced to 1/2 inch. The system completely eliminated the squeak I used to have when the overload springs made contact with the rubber pads in the leaf spring system. Side-to-side sway has been completely eliminated and while the ride is a bit stiffer it's perfectly acceptable. Compared to the airbags I've had on other trucks I think it's a more fail-safe system, although it's not adjustable like alternating pressure airbags. Overall I'm satisfied. Now for the price: This much simpler system costs the same as the deluxe Air-Lift airbag system part, but is adjustable. But to be honest, the Timbren system is nothing more than a metal bracket with a reinforced fender covering the fender placed closer to the axle mount for quicker engagement of the loaded bed. In my opinion, the Timbren system costs too much. If you don't mind the 4 hour installation time, I would recommend checking the airbag systems. I wanted to try something different and like I said I'm happy with the timbre system but not the price.
