Unwanted Quality Good for Wire

I was going to install this and if you bend any part of this wire the black sheath and body will snap instantly. This renders it useless as you can no longer engage the latch as it increases line slack. First it broke in one place, then 3 more. This cable must be flexible as it will bend as the hood opens and closes. It's not good, I'll come back today.
